Custom sizes
All our security label features can be used on labels of any size,
from 5mm square to 250mm x 330mm. Apart from the origination cost
of a die (if you need a bespoke size we have not made before), there
is no extra cost for making a custom sized label. Using a customised
shape also enhances the value of your label, and makes counterfeiting
harder.
Custom design

A
customised design is a core feature of a security label, to ensure
that your bespoke security label is absolutely unique to you. We can
incorporate your own "house" colours", special logos
or other design features. All security label designs are approved
by you before manufacture by PDF, giving you the opportunity to view
and "proof" the product on screen.

Customised colours
Whatever
your prefered colour scheme, we can include it in your security labels.
In security labelling, we have found that certain colour schemes work
better than others, but we will work with you to achieve the best
balance between aesthetics and functionality.

Consecutive numbers
Tamper
evident labels can benefit from the use of consecutive numbers, making
replication and forgery harder.
We use digital printing technology to print 300 dpi (dots per inch)
resolution, dense black, sharp numbers onto security labels. For maximum
security and durability we recommend that images are overlaminated
with a clear laminate layer.
For extra securing, consecutive numbers can be applied sub surface
(minimum order quantities apply).

Microembossing
The
use of microembossing uses standard and/or high security level holographic
foils in combination with a bespoke microembossing process to offer
an extra security feature to your tamper evident labels.
This is a unique process, and offers a cost effective method of attaining high level of security without the cost of bespoke OVD images.
It is not, however, as secure as a custom hologram.

Security cuts
Applying
inward facing security cuts to a tamper seal is one of the most basic
techniques to ensure that a label cannot be removed and reapplied
without the owner being aware of the tamper.
Commonly used on papers or synthetics with high elasticity, it is still useful for some applications.
Different cut patterns can be used for different label shapes and
applications.

High residue
Our
high residue adhesives leave a permanent adhesive on the application
surface when the label is removed that is very difficult, but not
impossible to remove.
This is useful for applications where you want a visible mark on the application surface to show that the label has been removed.

Low residue
Our
low residue adhesives leave little or no adhesive on the application
surface when the label is removed.Any adhesive that does remain can
be removed easily with a light finger rub.
This is one of our most useful products for applications where you do not want a visible mark on the application surface to show that the label has been removed, but still want the label itself to show evidence of any tampering.
There are a number of different low residue materials available for
different applications surfaces, and we normally supply samples for
trial before committing to a particular material.
Low residue LabelLocks are
our flagship low residue security label product.

Ultra destructible
Tamper
evident security seals using ultra destructible materials, typically
PVC (vinyl) or acetate is one of the most basic and established techniques
to ensure that a label cannot be removed and reapplied at all.
The technique works by using a very weak and brittle substrate and aggressive adhesive to ensure that the label disintegrates into many components if any attempt is made to remove it.
This is a useful material, provided that the application does not
require the label to exhibit any shear strength and the label and
surface is not exposed to movement.
Used in combination with other printing techniques, this provides an economic way of sealing certain surfaces, provided that the presence of a permanent residue on the surface that is very difficult to remove is not an issue.
